多倫多暴龍官方宣布和後衛鮑威爾（Norman Powell）正式續約，根據之前的消息指出，鮑威爾簽下的是一份4年總值4200萬美元的合約。
鮑威爾在2015年選秀被公鹿以第二輪46順位選進，隨後被交易到多倫多，首年在暴龍有一部分的時間待在發展聯盟，不過上個球季得到76場的出賽機會，平均每場上場18分鐘可以貢獻8.4分2.2籃板，作為第六人的角色讓球團感到滿意，也因此和鮑威爾談定一份4年的千萬合約。
「Norman非常年輕，而且具有運動天賦的全能球員。」暴龍總裁尤基利（Masai Ujiri）表示，「他每個球季都非常的努力尋求進步，我們將Norm視為球隊向前邁進的重要拼圖。」
