國外科技網站ifixit日前針對iPhone 8進行拆解，整體觀察，關鍵零組件除了iPhone 8具備玻璃機殼外，相較iPhone 7內部元件結構設計變化不大。iPhone 8也具備iPhone 7有的IP67等級防水功能。
從拆解結果來看，在電池容量部分，ifixit指出，iPhone 8的電池容量約1821mAh。iPhone 7的電池容量約1960mAh，蘋果已在官網指出，iPhone 8採用第二代性能控制器可讓使用者需要時提供更多動力，電池續航力一樣持久，iPhone 8電池使用時間約與iPhone 7相同。
在其他關鍵零組件部分，ifixit拆解結果顯示，這款iPhone 8採用SK海力士（SK Hynix）LPDDR4 RAM記憶體，高通（Qualcomm）提供LTE模組、射頻收發器和電源管理晶片，Skyworks提供功率放大器模組。
另外，恩智浦（NXP）提供近距離無線通訊（NFC）模組，日月光旗下環旭電子提供整合Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/FM無線通訊模組，東芝（Toshiba）提供NAND型快閃記憶體儲存。博通（Broadcom）可能提供無線充電IC。
iPhone 8內建6核心A11 Bionic晶片，其中2個性能核心速度比A10 Fusion提升25%，另4個節能核心效能比A10 Fusion提升75%。iPhone 8也支援無線充電與快速充電功能。
